In partnership with IIFL Samasta Finance Ltd., Akhil Gramin Yuva Vikash Samiti (AGYVS) has successfully completed its clean energy initiative — “A Path to Sustainable Growth” — transforming education, healthcare, and community life across Kanti and Marwan blocks of Muzaffarpur, Bihar.
🌞 Empowering Change Through Solar Energy
Between December 2024 and March 2025, AGYVS installed:
- 100 solar street lights, illuminating village roads and enhancing safety.
- 5 solar-powered digital education panels in government schools, benefiting over 1,350 students with interactive e-learning tools.
- 10 solar inverter systems in government Public Health Centers, ensuring uninterrupted power for critical healthcare services like maternity care and vaccine refrigeration.
👩🏫 Impact That Shines
More than 37,000 people are now directly benefiting from this initiative. The availability of clean, reliable energy has:
- Improved the learning environment for rural children.
- Strengthened local healthcare delivery.
- Reduced dependency on kerosene and non-renewable sources.
- Encouraged community ownership and maintenance through local youth engagement.
⚙️ Overcoming Challenges, Building Capacity
Despite weather delays and initial hesitation toward new technology, community engagement, hands-on training, and local leadership ensured the project’s smooth execution. Today, each site is self-sufficient in managing its solar infrastructure.
